Satyam Learning World is the enterprise wide learning ecosystem that captures and delivers the learning and development needs of all Satyam Associates through a single platform. Satyam Learning Center (SLC) and Satyam School of Leadership (SSL), the two pillars of this ecosystem, are the learning and development partners of businesses across Satyam, each having a well-defined mandate. The focus is on offering learning programs through a state-of-the-art infrastructure and Learning Management System that directly addresses key business and performance mandates. Over 40% of all learning at Satyam is delivered virtually. The company has a carefully designed learning and development strategy to meet the entire life cycle of an associate from entry level to senior leaders. The vision is to make Satyam one of the top five organizations in the world for its ability to build global Associates through effective learning.
Satyam Learning Center's (SLC ) primary responsibility is to prepare entry level talent, enabling growth and preparing a pipeline of specialists. Developing global entry-level talent from before individuals join Satyam, to effective business-focused in-company entry level education offers business well prepared, swiftly billable fresh talent. SLC has indeed played a crucial role in Satyam’s emergence as a preferred company to start a career with.
SLC’s second responsibility is to focus at the mid-level, to nurture specialists for current and future opportunities. SLC creates and delivers role-focused learning products, team and business aligned learning services strengthening team and business competencies. SLC is credited with enhancing the technical/delivery maturity and skill diversity at Satyam, and maximizing billability of associates.
Leaders and Associates are encouraged to teach, share their experiences and to mentor Associates, enriching and accelerating the pace of learning.
SLC uses appropriate learning technologies to deliver learning to all Associates globally any time, any where and at any pace. SLC establishes mutually beneficial relationship with educational institutions, education providers and alliance partners and to augment internal learning capabilities.
SLC plays a crucial role in facilitating societal and family connect bringing Associate families closer to Satyam through meaningful family learning programs.
Satyam School of Leadership is the other important pillar of the learning ecosystem at Satyam. As Satyam’s leadership development organization, SSL plays a defining role in harnessing the entrepreneurial spirit of existing and emerging leaders by offering timely learning and development opportunities. With ‘leadership by influence’ as a cornerstone of Satyam’s philosophy—which means ‘leaders as learners’ and ‘leaders as teachers’—SSL offers specifically designed programs that meet the development needs at all stages of the leadership life cycle. SSL’s primary objective is to foster distributed leadership among Full Life Cycle Leaders (FLCLs).

Awards and Recognition
Through Satyam Learning World, Satyam has made a definitive statement towards its commitment of undertaking effective and efficient learning and performance activities globally. And the world has noticed that. Early 2007, Satyam became the first company in Asia to be ranked 15th in the prestigious Training Top 125, a global ranking of best training organizations. In October 2007, Satyam was awarded the number 1 ranking in the American Society for Training and Development’s (ASTD) BEST Awards 2007. It also makes Satyam the first non-US organization and the first in Asia to make it to the number one slot at ASTD BEST.
