Satyam has been ranked # 1 in the ASTD (American Society for Training and Development) BEST Award. Way ahead of other global industry leaders, including IT majors.

The ranking and the award recognizes Satyam’s demonstrated excellence across: alignment, C-level involvement, efficiency, effectiveness, innovation, investment in learning, learning opportunities for employees, measurement of the effectiveness of learning, and success with non-training solutions to business needs.

Some of the key reasons why Satyam achieved the # 1 ranking this year, a huge leap from # 15 in 2006 are:

• The successful rolling out of the Full Life Cycle Leadership (FLCL) Program and the senior leaders’ involvement in it
• The success of the SatyamWay Certification Program
• The establishment of the Satyam School of Leadership and the success of its learning programs
• And the long-running effectiveness of the Entry Level Training Program (ELTP)

Speaking about the Full Life Cycle Business (FLCB) model that transformed Satyam over the past two years, Ed Cohen, senor vice president at Satyam School of Leadership said: “It’s an ongoing challenge to combat turnover among new leaders, and we have learned that the first year is crucial. As we rolled out the FLCB model, we wanted our new leaders to be prepared for maximum success.”

On the success of the SatyamWay Certification Program, Rajul Asthana, vice president of Satyam’s Learning Center said: “Through the development of this program, we demonstrated that we can quickly participate in any kind of high-level rollout. We had all the right pieces and didn’t have to chase anybody down. We showed that senior leaders were involved from the beginning, and we set the expectation for certification and provided resources for that. I think the program proved that learning doesn’t have to be mandatory for people to come out in large numbers.”
