Rising against the odds…

“My name is Balartna. I lost my father when I was pursuing my Intermediate. After the demise of my father the burden of looking after my family with two younger sisters fell on me and my mother. Life was tough, and we were going through financial difficulties. It was during this time that I came to know about the IT school run by Mahindra Satyam Foundation through a friend. I started attending classes and I was taught communication skills and Office Automation for 3 months. At the end of the course, I was given placement support and was selected as a domestic Customer Service Executive with a salary of Rs.5000/- per month. Thanks to Mahindra Satyam Foundation, today I am supporting my family, and I am proud of it”.
